Hillside Farm is a stunning Georgian styled country home near Ashbourne, Derbyshire, located in 1.2 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds with stunning views over the rolling Derbyshire countryside. Believed to date back to the nineteenth century this large redbrick family home has undergone an extensive restoration, bringing it back to its former glory with the original period features sympathetically refurbished throughout with remarkable attention to detail and care.

This handsome Georgian-style red brick property in rural Derbyshire was suffering from aging, draughty windows. The original large sash and casement units were rotting and no longer fit for purpose.
Homeowner Simon Westbury wanted to preserve the timeless charm of the house while improving comfort and efficiency. He turned to Gowercroft for a solution that could deliver traditional aesthetics with modern performance.
The Gowercroft team replaced nearly all of the windows and doors across the property. Products came from our Classic Range, designed to replicate heritage styling while exceeding today’s performance standards.
We installed a combination of:
Each unit was manufactured from a mix of Accoya and engineered Red Grandis, two timbers chosen for their long life, resistance to warping, and excellent paint retention.
To complement the period features, all products were finished in Strutt Yellow, giving the home a warm, unified appearance.
