Gowercroft are a high quality Joinery Manufacturer and Architectural Woodworker. We design, manufacture and install purpose-made joinery products for commercial clients and domestic customers across the U.K

Following the initial enquiry, we set up a meeting to discuss the project with you.

Manufacture begins once the specification is agreed and a deposit received.

We have two teams who travel across the UK to deliver and fit our products.

Following installation you will receive aftercare and a comprehensive guarantee.

Meet the team
Every company is defined by its people. At Gowercroft Joinery, we are very proud of our team. Our focus on recruiting experienced craftsmen with a flexible range of skills, and apprentices with the drive and potential to grow, has enabled us to outgrow our competition. Our employees are problem solvers by nature and are excited by the challenges of designing bespoke joinery items in partnership with a domestic or commercial customer.
We understand that quality is a culture, not a buzz word. Through encouraging personal responsibility and holding people to high standards across the organisation, we have developed a culture of continuous improvement and high-quality.
The Sales Process
At the point of the initial enquiry, we will typically set up a meeting to come to site and discuss the project with you. After listening to the end result you hope to achieve and some of the key features that are important to you, we will provide input and pricing ramifications on the options available. Once the scope has been narrowed down, we will provide a quotation with full specification details and a fixed price for your consideration. Where projects require high levels of design input, we will collaborate with you to produce and refine CAD drawings. Our intention is to deliver exactly what you want and make sure that you understand exactly what you are getting up front. Nobody likes surprises.
After the specification is agreed and a deposit is in place, we may need to undertake a full site survey. The sizes taken at survey or given by the builder/architect will then provide the basis of a works order. This is released to the factory and manufacture begins. High quality timber is machined and assembled to an accuracy of 0.1mm by a team of dedicated craftsmen. All products are then finished using the required coatings; external joinery products receive a quad-coat, water-based spray coating system with a comprehensive 8-10 year guarantee, and a range of stains and lacquers is available for internal joinery. Finally, the items enter fit-up where handles, hinges, glazing and other fittings are added. The items pass through a final quality control check and are then ready to travel to site.
We have two dedicated installation teams who travel across the U.K. to deliver and fit our products. Our fitters have all graduated from our workshop, they understand our products and they ensure that the good work done in the factory is continued to final installation. We do not employ site joiners or subcontractors who may undermine our quality and service levels. We also assign a single fitting team to each job, allowing you to get to know and feel comfortable with their presence at your home. They work systematically to cause minimal disruption, and leave the site clean at the end of each work day.
Our relationship is just beginning at completion of the project. You will receive through the post a number of aftercare documents, clearly laying out how to maintain each element of the product. By following these few, easy steps, the products will shine for generations. We will also include a comprehensive guarantee; if you ever have any issues, during or after the guarantee period, then we will work with you to correct them. We are dedicated to long-term relationships; and with over 80% of our enquiries coming from repeat customers or referrals, our goal is for you to be delighted both at the point of sale and with our level of service going forward.
Environmental sustainability
Gowercroft Ltd. is committed to the R3 policy of environmental sustainability. Reducing our usage, Reusing wherever possible and Recycling remaining items.
QUICK FACTS

We exclusively use water-based paints and finishes. These coatings do not release volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which are toxic to the environment and can be carcinogenic to humans and animals. Water-based paints are safe for disposal into the drains, and have a long shelf life. Products painted with water-based paints are safe to burn in domestic applications at the end of their service life – so our products do not end up in the landfill.
Professional affiliations
Solid accreditations and memberships will give our customers confidence in our ability and record, as well as providing us with updated information on industry best practices. We are delighted to be members of the British Woodworking Federation, whilst our FENSA accreditation is renewed on the back of a highly positive year.
FENSA
FENSA stands for the Fenestration Self-Assesment Scheme. Following Government encouragement, FENSA has been set of by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) and other industry bodies in response to Building Regulations for double glazing companies in England and Wales.

Gowercroft design, manufacture and install high quality joinery products for internal and external applications.
We are an entirely bespoke joinery company; everything that we make is to order and we pride ourselves on being able to manufacture exactly the product that you are looking for. Wherever appropriate, our products leave the workshop fully factory glazed and fully spray finished. We manufacture only from hardwood and offer a comprehensive 10-year guarantee on most of our joinery products.
Conservatories, Garden Rooms and Roof Lanterns
We have a successful background of working in this area; completing the design, manufacture and install custom garden rooms of all varieties. The process always begins with a collaborative design process, where the customer’s vision for the site takes shape on paper. Our experience in the industry and our use of innovative products ensures that the product will fit within the wider context of your property and will offer the maximum functionality and service life.
Sliding Sash Windows
Sash windows have been used in Britain since the 17th Century. Their pleasing proportions and aesthetic appearance add character and elegance to any building. We manufacture and install high-quality sash windows for new build, period, listed and historic buildings across the U.K. Our sliding sash windows feature either the spiral balance or weights and pulleys system to match your property style and budget; as well as including all traditional ironmongery.
Casement Windows
External Doors
External doors are a very important part of your property. All of our doors have three things in common; a highly secure locking mechanism, a solid feel when closed, and an attractive entranceway to your home. All of our doors are delivered to site pre-hung, with all ironmongery installed. They are fully factory finished and fully factory glazed (where appropriate). This minimises disruption during the installation and maximises life expectancy of the products.
Traditional Doors
We offer single doors, stable doors and French doors in any configuration or style. All options are available with side panels, top panels or wing-lights as required.
Modern Doors
We like to use innovative systems when they deliver a real improvement in functionality for the customer. To this end, we manufacture and install Centor F3 (bottom rolling) sliding, folding doors, Seigenia lift and slide doors and Seigenia tilt and slide doors. Each system has pros and cons, but all three give openings and integrated indoor/outdoor space difficult to achieve with traditional door systems.
Garage Doors and Gates
All garage doors and gates are manufactured entirely to order. These come in a variety of styles and can be integrated with security systems or automated systems as required.
Architectural Screens
The current building mantra is open-plan living and airy environments; nothing delivers this result in the same way as a large architectural screen. We manufacture and install these screens from the same materials and with the same paint system as for the windows and doors throughout the house – this gives excellent consistency and a balanced final property.
Internal Works
High quality internal joinery helps to create a unique, lasting impression. We undertake the full design, manufacture and installation of all internal joinery elements including furniture, staircases, internal doors, kitchens, skirting boards, window boards, fireplace surrounds and entirely unique items to match the vision of the customer or interior designer.
We have worked on multi-million pound properties across London, as well as smaller projects in London and across the East Midlands. Our focus is always to provide the highest quality products available within the customers’ budget.
Staircases
Staircases often provide the feature piece of an interior fit-out and give an opportunity to make a statement of style. We offer a completely bespoke service, providing custom made staircases that have a real impact on visitors to your home. We also offer a service for renovating existing staircases, to restore highly bespoke items to their former glory.

Draught Free Sliding Sash Window – Class 4 Air Permeability Sliding sash windows have always and will always be draughty! Well that’s what we have been led to believe throughout the 300 years of their usage. Generations of homeowners have been forced to balance the aesthetically-pleasing proportions and traditional appearance of these windows with poor energy efficiency and irritating draughts. This is no longer a compromise that has to be made. We are proud to announce our new product, which is the first draught free sliding sash window. We have tackled the issue of draughty sliding sash windows head on and developed the new SashSealer. With the addition of the patented SashSealer to our standard arrangement of draught seals and brush [...]
