Design that inspires

“The history of architecture is also the history of windows.”

Le Corbusier

At Gowercroft we believe that windows and doors are the most transforming and inspirational elements of architectural design.

Throughout history they have determined the quality and character of buildings. Sometimes referred to as the ‘eyes of a house’ or the ‘soul of a building’ their elegant proportions and configurations can express balance and harmony as well as breath-taking drama.

Far more than just functional standardised construction details to let in light and ventilation, their quality of design and craftsmanship are known to have a fundamental effect on our health, emotions and our sense of wellbeing.

Mindful of the complexities of modern lifestyles and the exigencies of building design, Gowercroft manufactures windows and doors, which combine market leading performance with a flexibility and aesthetic appeal that can open up greater design possibilities, giving architects the tools to create and inspire.

With our portfolio of award-winning projects, ranging from historic buildings to contemporary design, we believe we have the experience and expertise to help you deliver your project.

From vision to reality

We work closely with architects from initial concept and design through to the finished installation, making sure that our windows and doors meet your specifications and help you realise your unique vision.

With our meticulous attention to detail and robust straight-talking now legendary amongst some of our clients! – we will ensure that you get high-quality windows and doors that will enhance your project.  We take a collaborative approach, listening carefully, challenging where necessary, and always priding ourselves on exceeding the brief.

With our extensive range of doors and windows we can meet the requirements of most projects, and are always prepared to go that extra mile, enabling you to push the boundaries and create truly extraordinary and award-winning designs.

Furthermore, with our bespoking capability and willingness to think ‘outside of the box’, we often provide those important tweaks and design modifications that can make a significant difference – and have shown on many occasions that we can create innovative new solutions that are truly revolutionary!

Exceptional quality to match your design

The elegance of our timber windows and doors is matched only by their industry leading performance, developed after years of research and development.

The excellence of our range is based on these core features:

  • Slim Accoya® and Red Grandis frames – combining beauty with strength, durability, stability and sustainability
  • Energy efficiency – pioneering vacuum glazing enables us to achieve centre-pane U values as low as 0.4W/m2K delivering Passivhaus standard performance without the ugly, dystopian frames.
  • Low maintenance – our specially formulated paint finish is backed by a zero maintenance 10-year guarantee, or up to 8-years for translucent or stained finishes
  • Meticulous detailing – faithfully re-producing the classic features of traditional windows of the past.

All our product ranges are precision engineered using top quality sustainable materials and incorporating the latest glazing technologies to ensure quality and style.

Building Conservation

Providing sympathetic windows and doors for the preservation and restoration of historic and listed buildings is a specialist area in which we excel.

Driven by our passion for building conservation, we have developed a special ‘Heritage Range’, which combines exceptional performance with a slim elegance and authentic detailing that meets the approval of Conservation Officers.
